I would love to see Theo write and sing some songs for the next album. Or maybe if half were written by Theo and half by Tom kind of like on the older albums that would be interesting to hear.

The more the other members take part on the writing besides Tom, the better the new album will be in my opinion. Face The Ashes and Bully are both good songs, even if they aren't the band's best of material. More writers always equals more balance and more diversity, so I'm all for that.

I would think that Theo would write a good amount of stuff though, especially if the new CD is hard like Muertos Vivos was, that seems to be his type of music

You never know.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, since Toms been working with Sum 41 who are making a heavier album it could influence Gob in that way. But it would be nice to hear some upbeat ones too.

Tom working with Sum 41 could also make him want to stay away from the heavier stuff with Gob because thats what he would be playing for Sum 41. However I think Sum 41 will have a significant impact on the up and coming album

Hope there's gonna be a little softer album than Muertos, but also with some heavier songs.

It would be cool if he just decides to have fun with it, the workload has to be immense, so I would not mind a fun album with a couple serious songs, I think that could be the best of both worlds

As I've posted on the front page of the forum, Tom is coming to Vancouver city this week. What for eh? They're gonna record the album there as most of the band members are living in Vancouver! I believe Gabe is starting to record the drums VERY SOON. The administrator of our affliate site Fansite Connection said that we might even get a studio update from Tom!

so... update from talking with Tom... They are starting to record the guitar parts either today or tomorrow, then they will do the rest after, because Tom is heading out of town in a couple days, so they need to get the guitar done. Also, Tom said it was going to be more punk then Muertos Vivos, but will still be heavy. He also said that he believes its their strongest writing yet...

Late summer for Sum 41 huh? Well then. YOU'D BETTER GET TO WORK ON IT NOW!!! (but take your time if needed, because we want awesome) Ha, that was some good stuff there. Maybe Tom is there...because he's apparently worked on stuff with them before? Finally, I can't imagine traveling back and forth between all these places all the time!(Going to Austin day, being in (LA?) the next... One plane ride after another.... blarg

Haha yeah, touring life seems pretty crazy.
I remember Deryck saying lately that he's gonna play all the guitar tracks on the album so that's why I found it kinda weird that Tom's coming there to record something on the album. Maybe he's recording the piano tracks then? idk.
The sums are going on an Europe tour this week so Tom won't work with Gob stuff for awhile. The tour ends on 25th April btw.

D might need him to play lead while he plays rhythm. They like to record drums in a "full band" setting kind of thing
