I seriously doubt the chances of Belarus in tonight's game... They have a chance, obviously, but it's far from being good. I wouldn't say we're that bad at the moment, we still belong to the "top 7" after all, and Belarus doesn't. My bet for the final result is 4-0 for Finland.
Sweden vs. Germany will be tougher I believe. Sweden still takes it without major trouble. 3-1.
Czech Republic - Slovakia; the latter definitely should win. I'm hoping for lots of goals but both of the teams are lacking in individuals (forwards especially now that there are a few injuries) so my guess would have to be 3-2 for Slovakia.

Oh, and concerning yesterday's games... It was quite fascinating to see how Switzerland really put USA in a difficult position during the last period. USA was lucky to win 3-1. I'm hoping that the 8th team to make it to the quarter finals outside the top 7 will be either Switzerland or Latvia, and it'd be amazing if that 8th team could surprise us all with their performance. Switzerland definitely seems to have the potential for that judging by yesterday's game.

Well, Finland won 5-1, I kinda overrated Belarus. I kinda thought at one moment when Jere Lehtinen fell down that he could not get up, lol. He hanged up on the ice for a very long time.

Can I butt in here? OK. Naturally I want a Canadian gold. But as for Finland IF they can pull it off...I suppose they can win too--but a Silver! Sorry, you understand, yes?
I wanted tickets to a hockey game soooooooooooooo badly, but the prices have gone through the roof! Anyone else out there coming over to Vancouver for this? (The games in general, that is.)

@ Patentti: I didn't see the situation where Lehtinen hung on the ice, but I can imagine that happening, haha. And I'm fine with silver, joshisamazing4 I'd definitely prefer to see Canada win than Russia or Sweden!

Some very interesting matches have taken place recently. Switzerland was able to take one point away from Canada (Canada won eventually, but it took them all the way to the penalty shot contest). The final result was 3-2 for Canada. Another surprise became reality when Slovakia beat Russia 2-1 (also after the penalty shot contest). The groups are looking very interesting overall after 3 rounds in total have been played, with everything in group B being quite open still (Russia: 4 points, Czech Republic: 3 points, Slovakia: 2 points and Latvia: 0 points).
Next games: Sweden - Belarus, Czech Republic - Latvia, Finland - Germany.

Wow, Finland won 5-0. Two first periods were pretty even but then Germany kinda gave up. The Sweden game is gonna be so tight, hope Backstrom is the goalie in the net in that match, I kinda dislike Kiprusoff.
From the other games, Latvia gave pretty good dare to Czech.

Ya I caught the end of that Canada - Switzerland game and as a Canadian, I was dissapointed that it took Canada that long to put away Switzerland (sorry Switzerland, no offense). But it's looking like more and more countries are developing their hockey programs, which is good to see.

Well the Canada - USA game just finished with the Americans winning 5 - 3. I'm obviously dissapointed, but it's not the end of the road for us, and hopefully Canada will come back and win gold.

Noooooo!! Finland lost to Sweden, 3-0. I smell some maneuvering in this though. Now Finland is facing Czech or Latvia in the next game and Sweden is facing Canada or Russia. A LOT of easier way for Finland now.
